The Junior League of Reading, PA, Inc. empowers women through leadership training and development to take action in our community.

Through extensive hands-on training and participation in a variety of committees, we develop the potential of women to:

• Be effective volunteers
• Have a voice in the community
• Influence strategies and decision-making on community issues
• Gain leadership experience.

Training is offered in a variety of areas. Some examples include: grant and proposal writing, public relations, fundraising, public policy advocacy, and parliamentary procedure, as well as, learning to be a better parent or spouse.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
You must be a woman 18 years or older living in Berks County and be willing to:

• Actively participate on one committee
• Work a minimum number of hours on our annual events
• Attend General Membership meetings
• Pay annual membership dues
• Buy or sell $100 in fundraising raffle tickets.
